A new perspective on the 2007 French Presidential Elections

One can only see well with the Heart. The essential is invisible for the eye
A. de Saint Exupery

The past two decades witnessed an unprecedented increase in globalisation. The world economy in its widest sense has few barriers left. Shareholders and stakeholders are disseminated throughout the world, stock exchanges continue to merge and even medium sized companies have now part of their activities in remote places. The ecology continues to deteriorate to a point that even the most skeptical observers have to acknowledge that the global climate is changing. Technology is progressing in a countless number of domains and becomes accessible to a much larger population. All this evolved more or less naturally on the basis of simple economic logic of growth and profit, stimulated by shareholders who are mostly interested in very short term gains. Every armed conflict between two countries becomes a global concern. Who is managing all this? Well, there is the more or less obsolete United Nations Security Council with its 5 historical veto members, representing less than 10% of the world population. The self-elected G8 has some degree of control over 70% of the economic power. However, the real power is in the hands of private and publicly listed companies. We should not accept that important global domains like the ecology, technology, democracy, etc. are dominated by economic systems with short term objectives. But what can we sensibly do?

Our observation of the world leads us to state that we exist in a world of complexity and separation. One of the essential causes of this separated world is the dominant economic orientation.

The absence of a global vision for the world generates a lack of coordination which brings about substantial imbalance, inequality, segregation and a ruthless competition.  People are increasingly unhappy both in the developed and developing countries. Stress and fear are dominating daily life. Individualism has overtaken the richness of social communities. People are more or less in survival mode everywhere. They feel disconnected and powerless. Perhaps the worst that can happen to mankind is indifference.

The dominant economic orientation influences and conditions the individual and collective consciousness and leads to a sustained fragmented vision of our existence and the meaning of life.

A proper solution - valuing and winning for all – will not emerge from the status quo. The complexity of the global systems does not fit our mental models. Also, adding more complexity most likely will make things
worse. A new kind of wisdom is required. We all have this wisdom in our hearts, but most people lost the ability to access it.

The French “Alliance du Coeur (Heart)” acts for Universal Wisdom, which integrates all the plans and domains of our existence and the meaning of life. It inspires and influences new plans and decisions through a global long term vision, connecting people via the heart and recreating a world of Unity. The ultimate goal is to develop a unique vision where mankind will be re-connected to its planet.

Why a nomination for the French Presidential Elections in 2007?
On the one hand, to introduce and accelerate this process of reconnection with Universal Wisdom. On the other hand, we feel profoundly and we strongly believe that the essential role of a President is to bear, even incarnate, this process of reconnection with the Universal Wisdom. This Wisdom will inspire and influence the broad directions and integrate the totality of all aspects our existence without exception.
Another reason is to offer a real alternative.
