Power has
always existed. Almost without
exception Power has been
exercised through a pyramidal
hierarchical system.
Even if the
pyramidal hierarchical shape has
more or less functioned, we
raise the question whether today
with all the foreseeable global
issues and the principle global
domains like the economy, the
ecology, natural resources,
unfairness and poverty….this
hierarchical pyramidal system
executed by a small number of
individual countries is still
appropriate
In this paper
we introduce the causes and
effects of the “state of Having”
and the “state of Being” and we
will examine the functioning of
Power through these two states.
Responsibility is an individual
and non-transferable attribute
originating from the “state of
Being” while Power emerges more
from the “state of Having” and
they are not always
interchangeable.
With regard
to our perception of the
evolution of mankind it appears
indispensable to investigate
first a right balance for All
between conventional Power and
the Responsibility emerging from
the “state of Being”.
The next
stage will lead us to a world
where Power is founded on a
Responsibility emanating from
the “state of Being”.
Exercising Power in our
civilization
Throughout
the history of our humanity
“Power has almost always been
the expression of the law of the
strongest. Today, in our current
societies Power is usually
disguised in a subtle way but
its weapons and effects remain
much the same. The weapons of
the “Power” are the law of force
and authority and act par
intimidation creating a fear and
obedience. The effects of Power
are the submission, the
conditioning, the manipulation,
maintaining ignorance,
dependence and most of all a
massive decline of
responsibility. It is the origin
of suffering of all people.
The “Power”
provides authority to those who
have been awarded power or to
those who simply grasped power.
The authority is bounded by the
position in the hierarchical
pyramid of the “Power”.
The “Power"
is held by a minority submitting
the majority to obey its laws
and rules. Those who aspired to
be at the top of the pyramid
understood very well that to
extent their influence it was
necessary to create an echelon
of delegations of power
mirroring the possibility of
access to a superior level.
Moreover, this system is widely
used and maintained throughout
all systems to stimulate
competition and re-enforcing the
vanity of the Ego.
All this is
just a mirror game where the
reflections are taken for
reality allowing everyone to
cherish their own importance and
the real intention is to keep
everyone in his rank by flattery
and illusion
On a global
scale, those who exercise the
“Power” on top of the pyramid
are effectively a small number
of people. They impose their
ideas and plans on humanity to
satisfy their own interests or
those of their constituency. In
a skilful way they establish the
rules of the game of life by
creating unnecessary and
illusory needs and the
attractiveness and desire for
wealth and material goods.
In the world
of today is it still legitimate
and acceptable that a handful of
countries operate the controls
and decide the direction of the
economy, the ecology, etc for
the entire global population.
The “Power” maintains
deliberately the fragmentation
and the absence of global
visions it favors the interests
of the strongest at the expense
of the well being of a large
part of the population and the
health of our planet.
Are the
actual systems originally
conceived to meet the needs of
an organization or a nation
still adequate and extensible to
solve the global needs of today?
These systems, which do not seem
to be compatible with the
current needs create more
complexity, unbalance and lack
of understanding. Nobody can
comprehend the totality; the
controls of the old world become
powerless and produce more and
more random and unforeseen
results (take for example the
fragile state of the world
economy or the management of
natural resources).
Despite the
growth of the global economy
poverty is still increasing,
community life in many countries
is seriously disrupted by the
redistribution of work to remote
lower cost countries. Also the
concentration of work in large
cities increases stress and
deteriorates life and relations.
It is hard to
believe that “Power” in its
current shape has real
consideration to improve the
conditions of life in general.
Does “Power” really motive and
commitment to use all means for
creating a fair life for All?
It is about
time that humanity wakes up and
becomes aware that the
liberation of submission, its
dependence and servitude will
arise from commitment and full
and total individual
responsibility with the aim to
transform the monopoly of the
“Power” into a shared
Responsibility for All and for
the well being of All. It is
time that humanity gets into
action and invests individually
for a Responsibility allowing
everyone to exercise
deliberately his or her genuine
power.
The purpose
of our investigations is to
propose a way out of this
impasse…
The first
part describes the
characteristics and the effects
of the “state of Having” This
will allow us to more accurately
understand the functioning of
the “Power” in today’s world.
In the next
part the “state of Being”
proposes another perspective to
transform the monopoly of the
“Power” towards a “shared
Responsibility”.
The State of Having
“The state of
Having” is a state of
consciousness which can be
observed from different
perspectives. We have chosen to
approach this state from the
following four principle
viewpoints: space-time,
consciousness and the operating
modes of the mind.
Today it is
generally accepted that the
Universe is multidimensional.
Very often people consider the
Universe as three dimensional
(length, width and height) with
time being the fourth dimension.
In fact, it is the model we use
for almost all human activities.
Nevertheless, great scientists
and philosophers have
unquestionably demonstrated that
time and space is strongly
interlinked. Also space is not a
simple structure of length,
width and depth, but we do not
know the exact structure of
space-time. If on a more subtle
level we use our extrasensory
senses more and other dimensions
can be accessed.Only if we focus
principally on one of the
dimensions the others have a
tendency to become less precise.
In the “state
of Having” the attention is
focused on the course of time
and consequently the perception
of space is reduced. Time is
money! Can we observe a poppy
from a fast moving train?
In the “state
of Having” the attention brings
about a coming and going between
future and past. The present is
almost non existent. The
reference points of the past are
permanently projected on the
future.
With regard
to the consciousness, the “state
of Having” finds its sources in
exterior evidence. This process
has a rather detrimental effect
in the sense that on the one
hand the exterior “proof”
reinforces the original belief
and secondly the same
confirmation becomes the source
of new beliefs which are derived
from it. This deprives mankind
of its capacity to choose
consciously the true beliefs
beyond any conditioning. The
German philosopher Karl Popper
claimed that “we can observe a
million “proofs” and will teach
us nothing. However, when only
on occasion the “proof” does not
manifest itself we have learned
something”.
Also the
“state of Having” creates
separate micro universes. A
large number of belief systems
which serve personal and
partisan interests are at the
origin of the fragmentation of
the consciousness,
incomprehension, and
incompatibility.
The “state of
Having” operates on the basis
comparative systems, evaluation,
recognition, rivalry,
gratification, justification,
etc. These systems serve to
maintain the desire to play the
“Power” game.
The Ideals of
the “state of Having”, which are
often at the foreground, are in
fact flawed reflections of an
original ideal diverted to
benefit hidden ideals. Let’s
take for example the ideal of
beauty. It is defined by a
standard of beauty, which means
to be beautiful one must
resemble this standard. The deal
presented has little to do with
the original Ideal and is
diverted to benefit an
economical ideal.
The “state of
Having” is not only concerned by
access and possession of
material matters but stretches
equally to all expectations,
dependencies and search for
dependencies coming from the
outside and others. Life is what
we do externally and receive
from the exterior. This has
become a powerful collective
belief creating a strong belief
which conceals the consciousness
in the exterior world.
Creativity is adapted to the
pressing need of doing and
having.
“The state of Having” is created
by the Ego, the champion of
logic, rationality, pride and
vanity, which in turn is created
in the mind. The mind is
essentially driven by
materialistic considerations.
Things do not exist if there is
no direct or indirect tangible
proof. The “state of Having”
introduces and maintains a
collective belief that one has
to “earn his life”. This
senseless reduces Life to a
simple material gain. Does this
make sense?
Transforming the Power of Having
into the Power of Being
The Power of
Being Life and not believing
that someone can give it to us
or take it away ….
Can we buy Life?
The Power of
Being Love and not thinking that
someone can provide it for us or
remove it …
Can we buy Love?
The Power of
Being Joy and not believing that
it will happen to us by an
exterior phenomenon.
Can we buy Joy?
The Power of
Being Peace and not believing
that others will provide it…
Can we buy Peace?
The Power of
Being Confident and not thinking
that exterior proof and
recognition provide the
illusion…. Can
we buy confidence?
The Power of
Being Responsible, Autonomous,
Free of our true needs, the
profound aspirations of our
hearths and not believing that a
material good or someone else
can provide this for us.
Can we buy the answer to our
true needs?
The Power of
Being Free, Autonomous,
Responsible for our thoughts,
our emotions, our creative acts
and not to believe that we are
helpless …
Can we buy Freedom, Autonomy,
and Responsibility?
The Power of
Being the Source of creations
which mark out the road and
constitute the framework of Life
and not to believe in the
misfortune, the destiny, the
circumstances of which others
are the cause and justify our
attitude ….
Can we buy the Power of being
the Source?
The Power in the “state of
Having”
The “Power”
is a temporarily pyramidal
system created by mankind to
dominate mankind. During our
investigations we are more
interested in the mechanisms of
the system rather than the
people who take advantage of it.
This
exploration is conducted through
the model of the Universal
Trinity (See site plan), which
is composed of three
fundamentally inseparable
elements: the Ideal (green
color), the consciousness (pink
color) and the Creativity
(orange color)

In the “state
of Having” the “Power” is often
considered as an ideal but the
consciousness which inspires the
ideal and the creativity
constitute together a pyramidal
system in all its applications.

“Power” looks
normally the recognition, the
domination, the direction and
growth of wealth. The level of
consciousness which leads the
ideal of the “Power” is based on
the Ego, the mind, control and
most of all conditioning. With
regard to the creativity it is
necessary to distinguish between
means and effects. Concerning
the means it is interesting to
note that competition induces
economic wealth, that the
strategy provides a direction
and networks create often
fragmentation and finally
manipulation generates division.

The Trinity,
which allows the Ego through
creativity to attain its
objective of being recognised,
is almost exclusively through a
pyramidal system. It is
important to observe that a
pyramidal system has been
systematically applied to
support the execution of Power
in virtually all domains being
politics, economics, religion,
military, etc.
The goal of a
pyramidal system is to divide an
organisation into different
units to allow the management of
the whole. In a way the
hierarchy allows a delegation of
authority but also stimulates a
de-responsibilisation by the
application of “manipulative”
practices with the aim to cover
and protect. This
compartmentalised system has a
tendency to become inward
looking to the benefit the
person in charge. This works
reasonably well when an
organisation is successful. When
the organisation has to confront
serious problems the “Power”
becomes less operable and
changes hand often in the form
of a re-organisation. It is for
this very reason that a
pyramidal system is almost
always temporary.
In the
diagram below we can observe
that “Power” in an explicit or
hidden sense can function
because it maintains at the
level of consciousness an
obligation or duty which leads
to a conditioning based on
submission and fear. This
implies with regard to
creativity to servitude and
obedience maintained by
repression which leads to
generalised stress.

In
conclusion, Power is almost
always exercised through a
pyramidal system. It is
nevertheless very surprising to
notice that this pyramidal
system appears to be the only
system adopted as the structure
to exercise power in all
domains. However, it is a closed
system and under certain
conditions can be very
ineffective. The more an
organisation becomes important
the system becomes more rigid
and restrictive for all
participants from bottom to top.
Is this hierarchical system
still suitable and extendable to
manage human situations on a
global scale?
In common
language we associate Power
often with responsibility.
Nowhere during our observation
of the practice of Power in the
“state of Having” did we
encounter a real relationship
between Power and
responsibility. Responsibility
manifests itself almost uniquely
within the context of a function
and appears more a duty,
evaluated by the proof of
obtained results rather than a
deliberate action. Often this
responsibility of duty is
imposed by a norm, a rule or a
law but is rarely the fruit of a
personal engagement. Power in
the “state of Having”
compartmentalizes
responsibility; it is diluted
and reduced to the exercise of a
duty which results if not in de-responsabilisation
to at least a very limited
responsibility.
Perhaps true
responsibility resides in its
true meaning?
Responsibility
First, we
will study the characteristics
of Responsibility. What seems
obvious is that Responsibility
is a state of consciousness
rooted in the “state of Being”.
Responsibility can operate at
different levels of
consciousness.

Responsibility is practiced with
regard to the ideal of a person,
a community, a business, a
nation, humanity …
The
attributes of Responsibility
which seem fundamental to us
are:
·
Commitment.
The Responsibility implies a
commitment to go beyond personal
interest, to be conscious of the
other and to respect the promise
with oneself to realize a chosen
ideal.
·
Integrity.
Responsibility appeals to a high
level of integrity in order to
recognize its true implication
in diverse situations without
looking for excuses or exterior
causes.
·
Autonomy.
Responsibility demands to be
autonomous, i.e. not submitted
to any dependence.
·
Service.
Service is considered here
through the recognition of
individual recognition conscious
of one’s action as a service to
All.
·
Transparency.
Responsibility does not allow
ambiguity or ambivalence.
·
Courage.
Responsibility sometimes
necessitates to go beyond or
even against the submission to
power or authority.
The
application of these attributes
leads in a natural way to true
Freedom.
How to
practice Responsibility?
Responsibility is principally
based on an ideal. This ideal
can be different according to
the level of consciousness of an
individual.
It is
important to observe that
Responsibility can only be
practiced by oneself and not by
someone else or offloaded on
someone else since in such cases
it becomes Power. The
responsibility for oneself also
concerns the nature of thoughts,
intentions, emotions, judgments,
etc. which we maintain and
inject in our consciousness.
Finally, we are all individually
responsible for what we emit to
the consciousness because we
live and reflect what we emitted
before.
Whilst
Responsibility is individual, a
collective Responsibility can
emerge when a group of persons
adhere to a common ideal. The
responsibility is then practiced
united and it operates as a
shared responsibility.
With regard
to the Universal Trinity (see
site plan), Responsibility – to
be truly effective – requires
obviously the concurrence and
alignment of ideal,
consciousness and creativity.
What are the
consequences generated by
Responsibility?
The major
awareness or consciousness
awaiting humanity is to accept
that everyone participates in
the creation of our world either
directly or indirectly. Also
everyone contributes intimately
by its action or its
indifference.
To believe
that fatality, destiny,
heredity, circumstances, time
period, society, money, etc. are
the cause of the situation which
we encounter and live, is a pure
denial of individual and
collective responsibility.
The
fundamental realization in terms
of consciousness which remains
to be accomplished is the
awareness that we all together
are the co-creators, co
responsible of the nature and
the conditions which we
experience every moment.
It is through
recognition and acceptation of
this fundamental awareness that
we practice our true
responsibility.
It is at this
level of consciousness that we
understand and integrate what we
do to one is what we do to
ourselves, what we take away
from the other, we take away
from ourselves, that everyone is
the mirror of the other and
reflects directly an aspect, an
attitude or a conscious or
unconscious behavior, visible or
hidden for our self. The self
consciousness passes through the
consciousness of the other.
It is at this
level of consciousness that we
will accomplish cohesion, in
order and confidence of the
great perfect body which
represents a triumphant
humanity.
It is at this
level of consciousness that we
assume our true power emerging
from the responsibility of our
co-creations. This power will
not be a power seeking to
dominate but a power of love
which will unite us intimately
to Life.
We will
experience the joy of the union
with Life since we will become
the triumphant co-creators of
Life collectively responsible
for its manifested Splendor.
In order to
better understand the
consequences of Responsibility,
it is necessary to study
beforehand the “state of Being”
and the Power in the “state of
Being”.
The State of Being
The “state of
Being” is a stable state of
consciousness based on the unity
of Life. It provides everything
and is self sufficient. It
obtains its resources from the
gifts and unlimited faculties of
the spirit and the noble
aspirations of the heart.
Contrary to
the “state of Having”, the
“state of Being” perceives and
acts in the present. This
present is somewhat like
stopping the time for a moment
and past and future become
inexistent. In the space-time
universe, the time is not linear
despite its appearance due to a
perception of the mind where the
present is infinetely short. The
time in the “state of Being”
becomes a time radiant in all
directions which allows the
consciousness to connect to
other dimensions of the space
time universe.
The “state of
Being” perceives essentially
through Senses which go well
beyond the mental system. The
Sense is a stable state, free of
the compulsive process of the
thought, the interpretation,
evaluation, comparison, etc.
allowing the entry of vibrations
and the synchronization with
vibrations which are present at
the instant. The Sense is the
process which leads us to be in
unity with Life.
Beyond any
conditioning, the “state of
Being” deliberately creates the
necessary beliefs to accomplish
its noble and pure Ideals. It is
the access road to Wisdom.
The
“state of Being” operates behind
the scene of everything and
initialises the perception of
intuition, inspiration,
synchronicities, etc.
The Consciousness emanating from
the “state of Being” creates the
essential conditions for the
alignment of Creations with an
elevated Ideal.
Obviously,
the “state of Being” does not
manifest itself in the frenzy
and greed of Having. It requires
to be liberated from emotions,
fear, dependencies and to exit
any conditioning, to calm down
mental compulsions and to
develop a state of awareness, to
open the Heart, to be conscious
of the other and at service for
all.
The “state of
Being” manifests an infinite
gratitude and a natural worship
of life.
Power in the “state of Being”
Obviously, in
the “state of Being” Power takes
a very different significance.
This power is not the dominant
power like in the “state of
Having”. The “state of Being”
provides a Power generating a
consciousness of Responsibility
from which a new Power emanates.
This new Power is a Power of
love which links together what
appears to be separated in
fertile single union. Given that
Responsibility is not
transferable and can only be
individually applied, this Power
is not compatible with any
hierarchical system.

The
Power in the "state of Being" is
the result of a
co-responsibility assumed by
co-creators who are deliberately
engaged in a team sharing the
same Ideal. The hierarchical system is
replaced by a structure based on
united cooperation. None of the
members of this structure
exercises power over others;
everyone brings a lot of
responsibility in order to
contribute - according to his or
her talents and competencies -
to accomplish the Ideal of the
structure. It is a team that
does not give power to its
members, it are the members -
all of equal importance - who
bring power to the team and
thereby multiply its strength.
Let’s observe
the typical attributes of Power
through the three components of
the Universal Trinity (see site
plan).
With regard
to the Ideal, Power is inspired
by a vision that embraces unity,
i.e. the balance and cohesion
between order and freedom.
In the
Consciousness component, the
free choice implies imperatively
a responsibility which – to
express itself fully – calls for
total integrity and confidence.
The consciousness perceives and
manifests itself through a vivid
state of Presence.
Considering
the third component, the
Creativity, the Autonomy and
Co-operation produce a state of
symbiosis; letting go and
engagement create a state of
peace; next, simplification and
wisdom induce a kind of revival.
Responsibility is closely linked
to Power in the “state of
Being”, which in turn unites
with Responsibility to liberate
a creative Power. Through
Responsibility an individual
regains his or her own truly
creative Power.
The
orientation of the Universal
Trinity has no importance.
However, for the remainder of
this document it is convenient
to use an “up side down”
version.
We mentioned
previously that Power in the
“state of Being” is a temporary
pyramidal system where
everything is submitted to the
authority of Power. Now we
observe that Responsibility in
the “state of Being” is a
timeless cooperative state where
the responsibility of one is at
service to all.

Today, we
witness an awakening of
consciousness searching for
autonomy and free choice. This
search implies a more and more
powerful responsibility with
regard to individuals. In the
diagram below we unite the
trinity of power and
Responsibility in the
consciousness of unity found in
“All for One, One for All”.

The
alignment and concurrency of the
consciousness resulting from
this unity creates a new Power.
It is the Power that creates
Abundancy, Peace, Equity and
Solidarity. It is the Power of
Life.

The Power of Life
In order to
illustrate the “state of Being”
and the resulting Power of Life,
we choose the image of the human
body.
When we have
a viewpoint devoid of any a
priori or prejudices and we feel
the active processes of Life
through the Human Body, we
discover with wonderment and
gratitude the Perfection which
the creative Intelligence has
initialised to manifest Life at
the physical level.
All the
processes of Life in the Human
Body are based on the unity of
all parties, the autonomy and
responsibility of every part and
the service of all benefit the
whole.
The artery
and venous system irrigates and
nourishes fair and with
precision a flow perfectly
measured by the blood of Life,
every cell or group of cells in
any shape or form.
The nervous
system through sensible and
sophisticated fibres perceives
the vital needs of cells,
transmits the information to
central organs and provides
feedback to the cells concerned
what corrective action is
planned by the central organs.
Without
wishing to go into too much
detail, the incredible Splendour
and Perfection of the processes
of Life of the Human Body, its
is remarkable to observe and to
be aware that no cells or group
of cells, no organs or chain of
organs look for possession,
accumulation, discrimination,
impoverishment, or domination
for itself. All contribute to
the enrichment of each one and
each one contributes to the well
being of the whole with full
confidence and abundance.
The Human
Body is composed of some 60
billion cells, which coexist and
act all together in the perfect
unity of the Universal Trinity
(see site plan) where every cell
adheres totally to an Ideal of
Life, maintains a consciousness
of Life and creates an abundance
of Life.
But what
creates a malfunctioning and
alters the process of Life of
the Human?
Most
certainly, these the erroneous
belief systems of shortage and
shortfall, the superstition
which fuels desire, greed and
cupidity, discriminatory
judgments, segregational
exclusions, blind conditioning,
etc which are idealised in the
conscience and the mind of the
“state of Having” creating
mortifying dependencies and
powerful emotions of fear, in a
conscious or in conscious way,
which are the source of
disorganised and malfunctioning
cells.
If we
transpose this extraordinary
Perfection and Abundance of Life
manifested by the Human Body to
Humanity in general, where
everyone represents a cell of
its great Body, we all have
individually, whoever we are,
something to question regarding
the nature of our attitudes and
behaviour. We can all take a
learning from the fantastic
solidarity and cohesion of the
cells which vibrate in harmony
with the rhythms and natural
cycles of Nature and the
Universe.
Time is
pressing for all of us to
liberate ourselves from the
systems of erroneous thoughts
and limitations, emotions based
on fossil fears and to awake the
consciousness of the “state of
Being”, Carrier of Life, in
order to elevate all together
Humanity to the Consciousness
and Abundance of Life.
In order to
participate and contribute all
together to this consciousness
of Abundance of Life, we are all
invited to feel, integrate and
accomplish this marvellous
engagement with Life…
Engagement of Life
Oh Humanity!, daughter of the
divine Creator, Son of the
infinitely wise Intelligence,
Child of the stars born with
Love of the Celestial and Earth,
rocked by the gentile flow of
the oceans, carried by the
generous land of abundance…
May your Life be a lively prayer
of joy and gratitude,
May your Life be an emerging
source of amazement and
splendour,
May your Life be a benediction
of grace and wisdom,
May your Life be an intrepid in
the elevation of your
consciousness,
May your Life be an action of
faith and courage,
May your Life be an engagement
of nobility and honour,
May your Life be a challenge of
loyalty and audacity,
May your Life be a quest for
responsibility and solidarity,
May your Live be an inspiration
of mildness and tenderness,
May your Life be a stake in
peace and harmony
May your Life be an offer to
freedom and goodness
May your Life be a vibrant
anthem of life serving Life
May your Life be the miracle
continuously renewed with love,
because you are the hearth of
this Love and the Love of this
Life.
